Robert Mitchel Jefferson Alton - The heavenly gates opened on April 9, 2024 to welcome Robert Mitchel Jefferson Sr., our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and minister. Robert was united in death with his parents Earnest Sr. and Wernder Jefferson, brothers Earnest Jefferson Jr. and Freddie Jefferson and sisters Ethel Bratton and Ida Jefferson. Robert was born on July 11,1943 in Minden, Louisiana. He grew up in Doyline, Louisiana on a wonderful farm with 15 siblings. He enjoyed working on the farm with mom dad and the siblings. He loved hunting, fishing and the outdoor life. He was an excellent gardener who had a knack for decorating the yard with gorgeous floral designs. Robert attended St. Mark Community School and Union Elementary School in his early grades and then moved on to Webster High School in Minden, Louisianan where he was a member of the Webster High Band.
