Drew Abernathy Bethalto - Drew Abernathy, 18, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024. Born Nov. 14, 2005 in St. Louis, he was the son of Darin and Beth (Barnes) Abernathy. He is survived and will be missed by his parents, Darin and Beth and his "other half", his twin sister, Alyssa Abernathy; grandparents Gladys Abernathy, Rita Ford, and Jerry Gerard; great grandma Jackie Barnes; aunts and uncles Jill and Ben Allen, Jennifer and Bob Hunt, and Jerry Gerard, Jr.; cousins Kayla and her husband Aaron, Derrick, Savanna, Mackenzie, Aubrielle, and Trenton; many other extended family and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his grandpa Eugene Abernathy and grandma Gail Barnes. A 2024 graduate of Civic Memorial High School, Drew worked at Castelli's Moonlight Restaurant and was a member of Connect Church in South Roxana.
