Carl William Brase, Jr. Parkville - Carl Brase died peacefully in his sleep Thursday, June 27, 2024 at the age of 97. Carl was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Joann Brase, his parents, Carl W. Brase Sr. and Clara L. Brase, and two brothers Walter Brase and Arlyn Brase (Carole). He was a devoted father to one daughter, Rebecca Ruth Butler (Gareld) of Parkville, Mo., cherished grandfather to Kyle (Katie Trinter) and Mark, great-grandfather to Jonah and Gabe, dear brother to Douglas (Pauline) Brase, Marilyn Williams, and Merlin (Mary) Brase, and beloved brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Carl worked for many years at the Shell Oil Refinery in Roxana, Il, now Phillips 66 Refinery. He loved to golf, travel, and play with his HAM Radio- that is before playing with his grandchildren took too much of his time. A memorial service will be held at Kirkwood UMC, 201 W.
