Daphne Joan HamiltonMoro - Dateline: Moro, IllinoisDaphne Joan Hamilton, 91, of Bethalto, Illinois, after a long battle with Alzheimer's, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at LaBella Nursing home in Alton in the presence of her son Mark. She was born Daphne Joan Crouch on November 1, 1933 in Norris City Illinois to John Raymond Crouch and Daphne Elizabeth (Morehead) Crouch. She married Jesse Henry Hamilton on July 11, 1952 in Eldorado, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 2019.She was the last surviving charter member of the Norris City Church of God. She was a very active member of the Bethalto Church of God for over 60 years, where she was the primary pianist and sometimes organist. She was the pianist for the New Dawn youth choir and also played entire Christmas cantatas. She began playing piano for church services at the age of 12, and continued for 72 years until age 84 when she had to care for her husband.She was valedictorian of her high scho
